I am applying to this school I went to an open house recently it seemed pretty good but not sure since there werent that many people

is it a good school? well i like it because of the location, pretty close to where i leave
and I have a gpa of 2.80 and sat score of 1200
will i get accepted?

tell me anything you know about it too.. thank you

My daughter is a freshman at Hood. She loves it. We were impressed with the campus and the people but it wasnt her first choice in the beginning. It was on the short list and we kept visiting and meeting professors and the Dean of Students (GREAT!) etc. She did choose it over others and it is a super fit for her. Small Liberal Arts, intense with career planning, internships, etc. Classes are great, also intense. Student body seems diverse and close knit. Shes a brainy, quirky kid and has found her niche there. it has a good academic reputation and decent merit awards. I dont know how selective they are, she was valecvictorian.

My uncle recommended Hood to my D, it did not make her final list, but it looks like a school that should be on the "Colleges that Change Lives" list. GREAT merit aid programs, differing levels depending on test scores, GPA, interests, where you are from, etc. Definitely worth looking into, you never know - there may be a line in your resume that will catch their eye...good luck!

thanks everybody, I applied to the college using the common app, really nervous though,.
I remember one of the counselors telling me they will get back to me with 2 weeks or less once I apply.. really don't want to get bad news this christmas break/birthday haha
oh well
