Hopeless

HI guys, what should the SSAT score for an ASIAN?
(Planning to apply for those good boarding schools)
What are you guys'.

HELP!@

That’s an impossible thing to say. Without knowledge of your EC’s, GPA, courses taken, which schools you’re applying to and the sports you play, it’s hard to tell. The Asian applicant pool is HUGE at some schools, so even if you get 99th %tile, it doesn’t even come close to guaranteeing a spot.

WOWWW no hard feelings here but, did you just say what should the score be FOR AN ASIAN?! it depends entirely on the person’s mental capability and preparation for the test. not the race…
sorry I’m just being picky  but I think anything above an 80/85 percentile puts you in the running for good scores. of course the ssat is but one part of the application and the interview, essays, recs play a big role in the decision.
I got a 99 percentile and I’m Asian but that doesn’t mean anything.
good luck and happy holidays!!

ps excuse the awkward misspellings. I’m on an autocorrecting apple device

There are no cut-off scores by race.

If you are from a low socio-economic background, you might get some leniency on scores.

Ummm, that’s kind of, yeah, ummm, race means nothing on how well you do on your SSAT.
