Horrible at waking up!?

This question is for you experienced boarders out there.

How do you wake early enough for classes? I'm not even sure whether I will be attending boarding school yet but I LOVE TO SLEEP and my Mom always complains about how if I go to boarding school I'll never be able to wake up for classes because she always has to be my alarm clock.

Is it basically just sleep early?

It’s just necessity. I’ve always had to get myself up (with an alarm clock) so I do. If I don’t get up, I’m late.
If you’re finding it hard, get a really loud alarm clock and put it far away from you so you have to get out of bed to get it or something.

You’ll have no choice. If you’re chronically late or start missing classes, you’ll find yourself in trouble. Your body clock will probably be set to school time by the end of the first week. Everyone at BS suffers from sleep deprivation. No worries. You’re not alone.

I guess you’re right. I’ll probably just have to try my hardest and wake up extra early to avoiding being tardy.

You get used to it. While it’s been awhile since I was in boarding school, my school gave detention if you slept in. I remember once getting a wake up phone call in my room saying I missed homeroom.

If you have a roommate, make a deal that you get each other up. I had a single, what I did was put my alarm clock out of my reach, so I had to get out of bed to turn it off. It worked like a charm.
