Hot Girls?

I’m sorry if any I offended with the title, it was just an attention-grabber. I should have said “physically attractive classmates of the opposite gender, who are also great people on the inside”.

Alright, so I’ve heard that Brown has the hottest girls of any Ivy League school. Can any current students verify that rumor? I visited Brown last weekend, but during the summer, most students aren’t there, so I couldn’t tell. Loved the campus though.

lol, I borrowed a book, "Untangling the Ivy League" a few weeks ago and it had a section where they rated the girls and guys at Ivy League schools on a lettered scale. I don't recall what Brown got for girls though, although I do know that there are more girls than guys there.

From what I saw at ADOCH, the girls were actually pretty good looking. I was surprised at how many "jappy" (excuse me for the term if you're unfamiliar with it, but it's the only one i could think of at the moment) -looking girls there were, yet not in the snobby, paris hilton jappy sense. But I think the ivy with the most "japs" has to be UPenn - I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing, but it seems like the Brown girls know how to look good but also how to carry on an intelligent conversation.... feel free to add on to that.

Hey, enough with the JAP comments... I may be the JA but I try to avoid the P... sigh

But yeah... Brown has hot girls. As I've said before on this thread, I don't know why they admitted me. My friend who just graduated has a theory that they try to fill every incoming class with people who look just like the people who just graduated, so every one in the class of 09 has a twin in 05 and so on. My twin must've been the affirmative action admit for girls-who-don't-roll-out-of-bed-looking-amazing.

indeed there is a fair share of hot girls around. unfourtunately there is no SPG to see them prancing around in lingerie (or lack thereof), but don't worry, O'Reilly hasn't ruined halloween.

That's good, because Halloween is also my birthday.

OP-- Wouldn't, more important than the physical attractiveness, the fact that everyone at Brown is purportedly a godless liberal be a draw? (The fact that Wesleyan was named most "godless" / secular aside) I mean, c'mon. Lack of personal interfaith connection with jesus, lack of morals, lack of scruples...

-___-

on the other hand, constant feeling of victimization by the phallic flashing (sorry, poor attempt at fancy vocab and alliteration) gender.

The only real instance of this ridiculousness i saw was around the time of take back the night when they had some discussion where women came to tell stories of being sexually assaulted in one way or another. My friend came back saying along the lines of "i never realized it was so prevalent, almost every woman in there had been abused." I, more politely than i will word it here, told her "no **** sherlock, it was an event about sexual assualt, there is going to be a sample of women that does not represent the general population regarding the frequency of sexual assault."

This post is half-sarcasm

That doesn't sound as bad as what was alluded to at AU (this was just when I was doing an NSLC summer program) and, in addition to the "stop sexual assault" posters in every bathroom stall, they said they had people follow freshmen along to parties off-campus since so many were finding themselves in bad situations at the nearby frat parties.

sounds fine, though. I mean, if I couldn't handle an environment like that, I'd go somewhere more like the state of utah, resting place of the equal rights amendment (woo conservative voting bloc v. wisdom).

Good luck in your endeavors, OP.

While I didn't find many (see: hardly any) girls at Brown physically attractive, the fact that they can hold a conversation with you and talk about something intelligent is kind of/sort of sexy. And most are good people on the inside. I guess it comes down to what you're looking for. I was just lucky enough to have a girlfriend most of the time I was there and I didn't have to worry about trying to find someone to shack up with from around campus.

EDIT: Oh, and definitely venture over to RISD, there's some good looking girls there.

Not to offend anybody, but does the rather large population of, how should I say, guys with alternate preferences, make it easier (less competition) for the other guys to meet girls?

i don't think so....even with a perhaps slightly larger gay population than normal, there is still a large majority of straight guys. sorry to let you down hehe ;)

Cavalier, do you think the only gay people are guys???

i'm so offended right now, my head might explode

Cavalier is clearly going with the tried-and-untrue rule of thumb that "all girls are bisexual."

-__-

Well, it is a fairly well established fact that more men are exclusively gay than women are exclusively lesbian, which would mean that even if the proportion of gay men and lesbian women were both higher than in the general population, it would remain fairly likely that there would be proportionally more men who are exclusively attracted to men than there are women who are exclusively attracted to women.

Add to the equation the fact that Brown is not completely gender-balanced (around 55% women, 45% men), and you have a situation in which it's a pretty good deal to be a straight guy.

All girls are bisexual... lol
