Hello, I just requested information/catalog requested from a bunch of prep schools...
I got confirmation emails from each school except Hotchkiss. It's been around two and a half days and I'm starting to worry that it was not submitted for some reason. Does Hotchkiss just not send a confirmation emails before they send their catalogs?
Exeter, Andover and St. Paul's all did...

I just don’t want to seem like an idiot by having my first contact with this school be two catalog requests a few days apart.

This is a perfectly legitimate question to call the admissions office with. you can simply call up and tell them exactly what you told us. Personally, I would wait about three more days before asking in an effort to not seem too pushy or impatient. Honestly, I think this will just make you appear like a responsible and involved applicant.

A lot of folks were out of the office then at Hkiss so that may also contribute to a delayed notification…if they would have normally sent one.

Lol the three day rule… Applied to other facets in life too, I suppose.

Basically the same thing just happened with Choate. I submitted a form electronically, and their website won’t check the box of holy application procedures!!! WHY

Wait three days, like mrnephew suggested, and then email the school. You may want to wait until the schools get back in session.

@iwtgte Oddly enough, I have a solution again. This exact situation happened to me with one of my forms when I was applying to Choate. Don’t be afraid to call the office and ask for help. Don’t worry if you feel like a nuisance as long as it’s for a good cause (you know, being admitted XD). I think I must have called at least ten times. If it’s any consolation, I was accepted to Choate and will be moving in in two weeks lol

FWIW, I just did the online inquiry form this morning, and got a confirmation email from Hotchkiss almost immediately.
