<p>hey guys! i just got my acceptance letter into the school of hotel administration! WAHOO! after getting a rejection on monday from MIT, i was totally down, but now that i can be a hotelie, AND i got a stern acceptance today too, i am sooo much happier! do not fret those still waiting for rolling decisions. mine came in a tiny envelope and i thought i was going to be rejected again, but there were actually two envelopes, one a little bit longer and taller than a normal one, which had more information. but good luck everyone!</p>

<p>does anyone know if the hotel school reads applications according to the date the application was submitted? or do they send out letters to the "most impressive" applicants first?</p>

<p>It seems like they're sending out to most impressive first but supposedly it matters when you sent it in.</p>

<p>hmm...yes the peoepl who have gotten in are definitely VERY outstanding! but for UT@Austin, the definition of rolling is by the date the application was submitted. so i'm still a bit confused. so do you think that cornell is considering the date the applicaiton was submitted?</p>

<p>haha really i'm not that outstanding of an applicant and i submitted my application on january 1...i had my interview like february 12 and i received the decision today</p>

<p>hm not sure but last year they had around 700 i beleive.</p>

<p>I also think that I might be able to use the hospitality and management experience I will receive to maybe work at a hospital. If you think about it, that will be a huge business for our generation because the Baby Boomers will be getting old. Who knows? Any thoughts? :)</p>
