Hotel School chances

<p>Do I have ANY chance of getting into the Hotel School if I apply early decision?</p>

<p>NJ public school (ranked top 10 in state)</p>

<p>GPA: 4.02 weighted
Rank in top 8%</p>

<p>SAT I: 2040 (M 760, V 600, W 680)</p>

<p>SAT II: MATH IC 750, MATH IIC 800, CHINESE 800, BIOLOGY 630</p>

<p>AP: Comp. Science 5, Biology 4</p>

<p>I get mostly A's and B's in all honors and AP courses.</p>

<p>I'm getting good recommendations from the general manager of my hotel.</p>

<p>E.C.:
~Art club (officer), Computer Club (officer), Math Club, Teacher Assistant, National Honors Society, Spanish Honors Society. Not much in school.
~a lot of work experience at a hotel, bakery, pool and my Chinese school
~some volunteer work at library and pool</p>

<p>I have not gone for my interview yet, but I'll try hard to show my passion for the industry.</p>

<p>I'm only in high school, so i'm not that qualified, but as i understand it, hotel is slightly easier to get into academically than the rest (even though you are within the right test ranges for anything at cornell). That rec from the manager sounds very nice and just nail the interview, you'll have a very sweet chance. Play up your experience in hotel already.</p>

<p>I don't think my verbal and writing scores are high enough to get into Cornell. That's why I'm kind of worried.</p>

<p>You could always retake them. In any case, I think your scores look pretty good.</p>
