Hotel with transportation to OSU & airport

Can anyone recommend a hotel that is near OSU that provides shuttle bus to and from airport and OSU campus? Thanks.

We always stay at the Fairfield Inn and Suites. They don’t provide shuttle service, but the hotel is about 5 minutes from campus and about 10 or 15 minutes to the airport. Taxi service is always an option.

So, taxi services are easily and readily available in the OSU area? What would it cost to get from the hotel to airport? Thanks for the tip on Fairfield Inn.

my wife likes to stay at the university plaza, because of the free breakfest buffet.i like the varsity inn because it;s cheaper ,next to the buckeye hall of fame, and clean. i think they both have transportation.my son takes a taxi for about 25$

Thanks for the tips.

Yes. The taxi ride to the airport should be about $20 to $25.
The Fairfield Inn has a free continental breakfast each morning (bagels, breakfast pastries, make your own fresh waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, etc.). Across the street is a Bob Evans and next door is Damons (for lunch and dinner). The Varsity Inn looks a bit like a “motel 6” to me, but may be more economical if that’s a factor.

There is a hotel on campus, the Blackwell–it’s a bit more expensive, but if you’re not going to have a car, that’s what I would do. They have a shuttle to and from the airport & it’s 10 each way–you need to reserve 48 hours in advance for the shuttle.

We normally stay at the Fairfield Inn, or the Residence Inn downtown, but only if we have our own vehicle.

Around break times, the COTA (public bus system) has a free shuttle bus from campus to the airport. Also, many taxi companies have $15 - $20 specials just for students to take advantage of.

Thanks for the tips. When is break times?

There’s Thanksgiving
Then Winter break starts around the 2nd week of December and goes till New Year’s.
Spring break is around the 2nd half of March.
