On my applications, they ask how many hours a week I spend on each EC. Is it okay to exaggerate a little bit because other than a meeting once a month and tutoring we don't do that much. (NHS, etc.)

You are asking a bunch of strangers on the Internet if it is acceptable for you to lie on your college applications. Perhaps you should ask at the admissions offices of the colleges to which you're applying. If you don't want to ask them it's because you already know the answer to your question.

Jasonk1dd,

completely wrong!!! You should not lie about anything on your app. What are you thinking? Don't ruin you character and integrity by doing this. In the end that is all you have. Don't blow it by lying.

bump this up...

What's there to bump?

Why would you lie on your app about NHS? Everyone knows NHS is a blowoff EC anyway.

Most people round up =)

But seriously, there's no point. Having NHS on your application is really like having an A instead of an A-.

i wouldn't even go that far, sup. for my school, it's like having a 93 instead of a 92.

(still bitter)

Now I'm even more glad that I'm probably the only "top student" in my school to pass up NHS membership :-p

Don't lie or exaggerate. And forget NHS, ethanrt is right about that one.
