AnastasiaZ, to be honest, I don't know anybody who liked them. I think they should stop writing in these random characters. It shortens the actual medical story when they're in there.

You can edit posts, to remove the need for double posting (just an fyi, not meant to be mean).

Also, if you could describe the feel of House, I could judge it very accurately. What are some others shows it is similar too in content, writing style, or atmosphere. I've probably seen one of them.

I luuurve this show :D

I love the show as well, but as many have said, it's not as good as it used to be.

Personally, I liked the show when House's crew was Chase, Cameron, and Foreman, not the the new group of Talb, Kutner, and 13.

I love Scrubs as well, but I must also agree that they are two totally different shows outside the fact that they take place in a hospital...

Oooh, I always read these after I watch an episode: Medical Reviews of House

Shreds the "medicine" in house to pieces, lol.

^ It's not supposed to be factual. It's SUPPOSED to be entertaining.

amciw, why not just watch an episode rather than trying to get us to explain what it's like?

I love House. My teacher got me hooked last year when she brought the whole season 3 for us to watch in class for the last 2 weeks of school.

Is it on Hulu? I asked because I have a ton of work with essays to do and don't want to spend the little time I have free watching a show I most likely will hate.

yea i liked early ones more, but it is by far best show

What are you talking about? Scrubs is a great show! Obviously, Scrubs is a comedy with some drama and House is a drama with some humor, so they're in different fields. As for Lost, well you're just flat out wrong. It's won a Golden Globe and another 44 wins and 136 nominations. The characters are deeper than a puddle on the sidewalk after a rainy day and has a constant momentum. I'm pretty sure that not everyone (the people commenting) have seen Lost, and are forming opinions over stuff they've heard, rather than what they've seen.
House, I've seen, and I don't like. I'll admit, it was okay when I first started, but he's just old now. The pull of the show was never what House did but why. He would do the most absurd, amoral things, but always justify it with indisputable logic. It was often interesting and always entertaining, which is the best a show can reasonably hope for
but now, it has somehow morphed into this "what-will-he-say-next" nonsense that simply cannot last. In the 2nd episode of the season, he talked a Mormon into drinking tequila, then berated him for doing so. This was not done for any reason except to be outrageous. Then in the 3rd episode, he kills himself by running a knife into an electrical socket. A patient had a religious near death experience and House denied it, then another character told him to not "insult something you know nothing about." So he killed himself in the 3rd episode and was revived by his staff, just to be able to look at a dead body and say, "sorry, I was right." I may be conservative, but if the title character is going to be clinically dead for more than a minute, it shouldn't happen in episode 3, and it probably should mean something. A main character can't be casually dead. It just doesn't work. And if this was just to push the envelope and surprise us (which it was), what's next?
...And Scrubs is a really good show.
