Housing and financial aid (transfer student)

I was recently admitted to Berkeley as a transfer student, and I've been trying to figure out how my housing situation will work if I choose to go there, and how this relates to my financial aid. So here are my questions:

-How would living off campus affect my financial aid? That is, will it reduce my gift aid, or my workstudy/loan offers, or both? And by how much?
-I qualify for the blue and gold plan thing, so that means they have to cover my tuition, right?
-Can I stay in the dorms for one semester and then move off campus or do you have to stay for a year?
-I know Wada Apartments (which I qualify for as a transfer) counts as off-campus. It looks much cheaper than regular dorms- 8 or 9 thousand-ish. I'm sort of worried that the financial aid reduction will make it more expensive after all, though?

I was considering co-op housing, but it would be difficult to get a place for the fall semester, which is why the on-campus for one semester question occurred to me. Any insight you might have would be very appreciated!

I’m wondering the same thing. I also qualify for the Blue & Gold plan, which covers tuition, but not housing, books, food, transportation, etc. If going off-campus doesn’t affect my financial aid, I’d opt for Wada since it’s cheaper.

If anyone knows about this, please let us know!

I’m actually curious about the other questions myself but regarding

"-Can I stay in the dorms for one semester and then move off campus or do you have to stay for a year?"

You have to stay the entire year. Only way out is studying abroad or developing a serious illness. They say if you can find a replacement if you decide to leave there is a chance to get out… but those are hard to come by. lol

That seems important to know, thank you!
