when can i start applying for my housing application for the fall 2011 term? i thought buffalo started receiving housing deposits early January but when i tried to apply they only had the spring applications.

If you use this link, which is from the “Accepted Students” page, it bring you to the housing site. The Important Dates area says Feb. 1st for Fall 2011 Applications, with a TBD. So I think it is going to be a while longer. Did you receive any ‘Login’ information after you paid your deposit?? I have not received anything yet, and I believe you are supposed to?

the only login i received was my UB ID before i got my letter of acceptance, i haven’t received anything back, even after i paid the tuition, but i did talk to one of the students there and they told me that the advisers start sending out letters to accepted students in the spring so i guess we will have to be patient, do you know where you want to stay?

Not sure, but will probably list Richmond Double as 1st Choice. Redjacket if they allow Freshman. How about yourself?

im not sure yet, its somewhere in the Ellicot complex why do u prefer RedJacket over Richmond? they look the same to me

Red Jacket is where upperclassmen are housed. Freshmen are in Wilkeson, Spaulding, and Richmond. IIRC, you don’t actually get to specify which dorm within Ellicott you’d prefer although you can specify the room type. If you want to be in Ellicott, pay your housing deposit so that you can access the application as quickly as possible. Those who delay beyond February are probably increasing their chances of being assigned a room on South. Not the end of the world, many students prefer South, but does make scheduling a bit trickier if you have most of your classes on North.

You can pay your housing deposit now for Fall 2011 !!!
