Housing assignment is out

Hurray!D got into her first housing choice! Please check your housing assigment at usc auxiliary housing website. She did not receive any email.

i got IRC. i looked at the website and then later finally got an email.

How do you check your housing assignment at USC auxilliary housing website?
Do you type in your name, student ID, etc.?

Thanks Columbia! We just looked, and my D is happy!
No email here either, but maybe these just went up today. I think they said housing decisions would be on 15th.

mdcissp: USC ID# and a log in number given via email when you registered.

Oh, we just got the email now. Attached document with a lot of instructions.

Yeah, D just got her email. When does one need to pay the $400 deposit by? Soon?

my email says:

"The deadline to accept your assignment is 5:00 PM Friday, May 23rd, 2008."

so i could log-in, and on the first page where you select a term it tells me what room i'm in (what I wanted, yay!) but under the "Rooms" selection under the left menu all it says is "You are not assigned to a room for this term. You can search for one using the options on the left." I'm thinking this is because mine technically hasn't been assigned yet... I didn't get an e-mail yet. I'm wondering what your "Rooms" page looked like though... did it tell you who your roommate is?

lewis: Clicking on "Rooms" the page shows the type of room in which residence, and the "occupancy info" shows a list of the sceen names of people in each room (this is for suites), and their profiles and a "send message" links.
So yes, you see your roommate assignment .
I believe these just went up today (according to facebook group as my D said) so maybe they are still in process.

lewis, mine does the same thing also, so I'm not sure what's happening. Maybe we just have to wait a little

Does anyone know when does the roommate assignment occur? D got her first choice Flour

You may not know exactly what room you will be in until you move in. They have to change things around pretty often, so it may take a while for the room number to come out.

I got the e-mail and the room assignment but no roommates yet. It reads as lewis208's does.

Anyone else in a Birnkrant triple? Wooo!

When I click the application tab on the housing portal, under the academic year button I have to click, it has a green check by my application date, and then a green check by my "room reservation" which lists the building code-3 digit number-A1. Is the three digit number my room number? And what does A1 mean?

Sorry for the long explanation! I'm super excited!!!!! I got Pardee Tower, which was my first choice.

gotrojans, I got pardee tower too! I'm on the second floor, you?

Ahhh!!! Me too! How exciting!

Although, to be honest, I'm not too excited about the second floor. It's low (miss out on the view), we're by the lounge (lots of noise), and my room is by the elevators (more noise). Is it possible to request a different room within the same building at this point?

Either way, I'm just grateful that I got my first choice and I'm with my requested roommate!!!

gotrojans: D's shows building code, and 4 digit # which I think is the suite #, and then A1, A2 etc to C2 which are the actual double rooms within the suite.(letter for room, # for bed). I think your A1 is just your bed #...if you are in triple there would be A1, A2 and A3.

gotrojans!
Congratulations on receiving your first choice on housing. If at all possible try to have your room changed to one AWAY from the elevator. The noise can become incredible. My first semester our room was next to the elevator and it was difficult to sleep or study.
If it cannot be changed....bring earplugs. lol

gotrojans: how do you know where on second floor your room is located? Does your info show a floor plan?
