I finally received mine through email! I'll be in Lamont House, second floor. My roommate is an international student from Taiwan. I am sooooo excited! :) Anyone know stuff about Lamont that the website doesn't already say?

So you'll be a Lamonster, eh? Hope you like to part-ay!

Is Lamont known as a party house?

My D has been placed in Jordan House. Roommate from Texas. She was hoping for Emerson, but I hear that the two are connected, so no big deal. Anyone know anything about Jordan?

Got mine too!! I'm in a triple suite in Baldwin House. Any info??

I'm in Emerson.

I'm in Gillett

Aww no fair I wanted Gillett! LOL. I'm glad I'm in a suite though...I really wanted my own room :)

Anyone know anything about Jordan?]]

I know it's one of the big quad houses and that it's residents refer to it affectionately as Joho. :-)

I'm in Haven. My roommate is from Hanoi. so many Hs!

You wanted gillett? Cool. I didn't even know about it. I guess I had looked at Northrop and ignored Gillett. I am kinda bummed that I am on the 5th floor but I shouldn't complain.
We so have to meet when we get to smith. WHen is everyone getting there?

I'm in Chapin, and my roommate is from MA. I'm excited, I love the location... anyone know anything more about it?

ladylazarus....my daughter lives in Chapin and dearly loves it. The location couldn't be better and the lack of major drama in the house made for a great year. The rooms are so large that she is adding yet another piece of furniture this year!! Closet space is huge.
My daughter was thinking of moving into the senior house for her last year, but is so happy in Chapin that she now plans to stay put.

Chapin's a great house, one of my best friends lives there and I've been made an "honorary Chapinite" because I'm there so much most of the house assumes that I've moved in. The location is great, though it can get a little bit noisy if you have a room that faces the Campus Center, with people walking by at all hours, concerts going on in the early fall, parties on the weekends. If you're a light sleeper and you're facing the lawn, I would invest in some earplugs. But otherwise, it's a pretty cool place.

Someone named "Ladylazarus" should be in Chapin, for obvious reasons (to someone with that name.) It was also the inspiration for "Gone with the Wind."

My daughter (who sometimes posts here) is in Lamont, fourth floor. Although she's somewhat disappointed at being in one of the bigger dorms, she likes the location.

Best food on campus, too, and surrounded by other food choices in Cutter-Z and Gillette.

Does Jordan have a kitchen?

No, but Jordon is connected via the 2nd and 3rd floors to Emerson and Cushing. Both have dining rooms, so eating breakfast in your pjs is still an option.
However, Cushing and Emerson share the kitchen, so the food is the same. Many women in Jordon eat at King/Scales too. Students can eat at any dining room on campus.

I like the fact that Jordan and Emerson are connected, and so does my D. She has a couple of friends in Emerson, and looks forward to spending some time with them. ;)
