Housing at Northeastern?

I'm completing my housing application for Fall 2012 Entering Class and I wonder if I can request a single/double on my application or they'll just decide it randomly? I'm willing to pay more to get a better place but I don't know what to do to request my desired room...
I have a medical form which states that I have allergy already. Do I need to send this form along with my housing application? I'm so confused because Northeastern ain't like other colleges which allow us to pick what kind of dorm we like (even though sometimes it doesn't come out as expected) but NEU is just doing this housing selection randomly, isn't it?
I'm so confused and worried at the same time. I don't know whether if I can get a nice dorm this Fall.

yeah you can request a single/double, theres an option for it on the housing request form. at least thats how it is for IV honors housing…otherwise call up the housing department and explain your situation!

Unless the allergy is to something like… cement… I really don’t see how it’ll affect where you live. The buildings are pretty similar to each other, so if you couldn’t live in one dorm (say, because of dust) you’d have a hard time living in any of them.

The form allows you to select a preference, but that doesn’t mean you’ll get it. Everyone wants a nice dorm, but most aren’t. The amount of people willing to pay more for a single or a newer building is greater than the number of spaces they have.

Where can we find the Housing Form…? I can’t find it…

You need to go into the myneu portal (login instructions were sent with admission letter). Then select the tab that says enrollment information. Then there is a box with a link for the housing application.

Does anyone know if all transfers housed in the YMCA? Or a big majority?
