What is the best housing option for an incoming AU international freshman?

A few years ago Leonard had a lot of international students. Don’t know if that has changed.

Good question. I have not found a good resource comparing buildings.

Found something for first years. http://issuu.com/auhousinganddining/docs/first_year_housing_guide_2014.18_sm/1?e=9691264/7135825

also, <a href=“Incoming Residents | Housing & Residence Life | American University, Washington, D.C. | American University, Washington, DC”>http://www.american.edu/ocl/housing/firstyear.cfm

This year, if you are in University College they put you in Anderson, Hughes was for honors and scholars programs. I am not sure where they put International students. Freshman not in UC or Honors/Scholars were mostly placed in Letts. I highly recommend University College. It was a great way for my son to meet people with similar interests. Also, the sooner you get your housing application in, the more likely you will get a double instead of a triple.

If you search around AU’s website, you can find a small review of each hall. There may be one identified as International.

Here is the info on Leonard Hall: http://www.american.edu/ocl/housing/leonardhall.cfm
