<p>so i got an email today about the housing contract being out, checked it out, and there was no place to put a preferred roomate. i want to room with two friends from school, and it said that you have to email them or some crazy stff like that...</p>

<p>yeah I wanted to request a roommate too. Do they usually honor roommate requests (as long as they're mutual)?</p>
<p>I think they'll make an effort to honor your request, but there are many other factors to consider: timing, space availability, total number of roommate request, etc. I never heard of anyone requesting roommates during their first year, so I wouldn't be able to judge on how successful that is.</p>
