Housing information?

Hi!
I think in the midst of getting accepted, I accidentally filled out the housing information because when I click the button it says I have 'Already applied for housing'. I don't know if UCSD does this, but when you apply do you fill out a series of questions that help them decide your roommate? Because I don't remember doing any of this...

Thank you!

ps.
Revelle college anyone?

there is a series of questions... i think you do it after you decide to accept? im not sure... it was a while ago...

yes you do fill out a survey for roommate pairings, im not sure when you do it though.

i've read that that doesn't happen til june... so don't worry

I believe they send you the contract by early June

In Mid May. UCSD will send you another email about housing preferences.

REVELLE FOR THE WINNN...
i honsetly hope the "nest" is not at revelle. xD

if ya'll know what i mean.
anyways.. see you thereeeee

thanks everyone!

Another housing question, if anyone knows the answer... in another thread someone mentioned that you have to submit your SIR to actually get on the housing priority list. My question is, which affects your priority to get the best housing: the actual housing application, or your SIR?

Sorry if I'm being repetitive, just trying to get some confirmation.

the actual housing application ... because not everyone who signs the SIR wants to live on campus. and i don't believe there's much of a priority list -- just submit all the required information in a timely manner, play the pity card if you can (for singles, etc), and cross your fingers.

Thanks for the info Astrina!

What is so good about a single anyway? I mean, privacy and all... but do you make more friends just having roommates in general? I would imagine you'd make friends with their friends, and so on.

the thing is, you live in a suite. you don't need to sleep in the same room to make really good friends. i'm in a single and i love it.

plus we're always in eachother's rooms hanging out or we just hang out in the launge. if you can afford to get a single, get it. it's really worth it.

God I'm glad I living off campus all 4 years so I'll never have to deal with crazy dormies which inevitably exist. I have heard stories about a vodka alcoholic that jumps balconies to leave an apt and stashes booze in the freezer and closet, a kid who obsesses over asian girls even though they don't have any large enough body parts to look at, 2 complete douche bags, and a partridge and a pear tree.
