Ok, anyone else having a problem paying the fee? On the one hand it says housing app deadline is May 16th, but when I go to pay it says “Sorry, you are not authorized to submit payment for the Room Reservation Fee at this time. Thank you.”
The app is due that date…somewhere else on UConn’s website it states that you will get an email with instructions on paying the deposit….
Room Reservation Fee Deadline – May 28, 2015
Students will be billed and sent payment instructions in mid-May 2015.
Please do not attempt to submit the Room Reservation Payment prior to receiving payment instructions.
Thank you! I was worried since at my older student’s school you had to pay first to reserve your spot and then fill out roommate questionnaire later…
Then they have the entire month of June to request a roommate if they find one…hoping we get lucky at orientation and my daughter finds someone she clicks with!
Hi TLD12867 ! It is actually pretty common that students find someone that they click in their orientation group who they end up rooming with freshmen year. Since the orientation groups are set up by major, these individuals often have similar interests and things in common.
