Housing dilemma

hey, a friend of mine in the class of '09 asked me to pose a housing question he has here. so he got his housing assignment and he was put in Forbes, the small freshman dorm. but now there's an opening at New House and someone's offering him a chance to take it. so he's wondering whether he should stick with Forbes or take the spot at New House. New House would give him a better social situation, but he's heard pros and cons for both places. any insight into which would be a better pick? thanks.

New House has the smallest rooms on campus, but it is the newest dorm and is the only freshman dorm with air conditioning. It's very pretty inside... all this nicely stained wood... and everything feels just new and nice. From the people I've talked to, it's one of the top freshman dorms (along with Morewood E and possibly Mudge). I don't know anything about Forbes.

I don't think there's any dorm called Forbes. Are you sure you have the right name?

It's a trap!

My cousin lived in Forbes when I visited him!!

it used to be the KapSig house but they got kicked off of campus. It is now called Forbes House. The people who lived there last year loved it. I personally cannot stand how small the New House rooms are but the dorm is nice as a whole.

You guys are lucky you have your housing information, I still haven't received mine.
