Housing for 4 Years?

IS it true that you are not guaranteed housing for four years?

YES, You are GARUNTEED housing for frosh year only. any more questions?

damn we all kno spartacus is gonna hav it goin on at cornelll as soon as he gets there..

:p what do you mean?

u kno coz u know all about the place..........i didnt even know it wasnt in new york city until like last week.......ull be like the goto guy if any1s in trouble.

oh haha, i know alot about cornell but I'd probably get lost on campus i've been there twice, both times for an afternoon, and one time I was 9.

well then i guess i may know more. lol jk but i have been there like 5 times since august, going again in a week or so....so ya

i know this thread is old...but i found out something thats posted wrong in this thread...ur gauranteed on campus housing for year 1 and year 2, not just year 1 only
thought ud like to know

yes, but if you end up the new house system (alice cook house, carl becker, house 3 + 4) you will end up having your own internal lottery (before the main one and be like me and pick the biggest single on west campus with a fireplace ;-) ) garaunteed for all 4 years! :-p but most ppl end up moving off campus, so whatever floats your boat. but if you want a good place off-campus, get it in the fall or else all the good ct places will be booked solid.

my B, thought it was 1...i'll take your word on it.

tell me more about this new house system...can u still stay on campus if u dont win in that lottery??? as a freshmen, wen do u start considering ur sophomore year home? i want to be on campus i think...arent i gauranteed on campus?

What about transfers? Are we "screwed" for housing so to speak, or do we still get a fair shot at those wonderful housing programs like McLLu and JAM?

You are guaranteed housing for the first two years only. For upcoming sophomores, the housing lottery is mainly to decide the order in which people get to pick their dorms for next year rather than decide whether you can even live on campus next year.

However, you are not guaranteed housing for junior and senior years.

and what is this new house system...is it good...how many get to be in it?? thanks again
