The myJHU website says that the deadline is May 29; is that postmark date or receive date? I plan to mail my deposit on Tuesday (from California), and I am wondering whether I should pay for priority mail to get the form to JHU before 29th.

The Housing selection form deadline of May 29 is an online submission / postmark deadline. That means you must (1) complete and submit your roommate questionnaire online. And (2) print out, sign, and mail in your housing contract and deposit.

Remember, the best source of information and answer to questions like this is through the Class of 2013 Facebook group.

So just postmark by May 29? In any case, thanks for the reply. Does anyone know if I mail my stuff the morning of Tuesday (early morning), is it processed and sent out on the same day? Or does it take another day before the mail is carried out?

just try to send it in as close to may 29th as possible. it takes a while to process all of the deposits anyway. i mean you have to remember that two identical deposits can be both postmarked on may 29th but one sent from los angeles and the other from washington dc. which do you think would get there first?

Normally, mail is postmarked the same day that it’s picked up from the mailbox. If you want to be sure, drop it off at the post office and it’ll be postmarked right then
