Housing - LLC Community Experience?

Can anyone provide some insight into the Living&Learning Community, especially the Multicultural Learning Communitu and Kostka All Women’s Hall?
There aren’t much info on there website, so it would be very helpful to hear students’ own experience!
I read through some past post and wonder if the info I found is correct or if things have changed? Looks like Kostka has no laundry, small or none common area, locates on Upper, and typically traditional double room? Also heard rumors about Kostka being Greek life community? Can anyone share how’s the Women’s Center events for Kostka like?

As for the Multicultural Learning Community, I can’t seem to find much info online. Not sure about the MLC location (Upper or Newton?), the room style (double, triple, or what?), the event style (how’s the multicultural learning like?), the housing environment (e.g. the laundry, the common area, etc). Can anyone share any experience? Also, is MLC any close to Greek life?

Thx in advance.

There is no Greek life at BC as you already know. And I believe it is guaranteed two person dorms. And of course single sex bathroom and shower area.

Yep, we all know there’s none official Greek Life in BC, but apparently still some unofficial running. Just trying to get some insight into the atmosphere in each Living&Learning community. Can you possibly share some experience (if any) about the multicultural community as well? Thx!

I don’t know. Sorry.

Having the same question about Kostka for my daughter potentially next year! ARe you at BC now? any further insight on this?

What specific questions would you like addressed? Not sure where you are going with this?

My sister lived in Kostka a few years ago. Rooms were traditional doubles with a communal (hall) bathroom.

Kostka is one of the best options to live in for girls. It guarantees you’re on upper campus, and there is little to no commitment/mandatory events relating to feminism. Don’t be intimidated that it’s all girls because the floors aren’t mixed in other dorms anyway. Lots of great girls choose to live there and technically only the first floor is the LLC. Some girls end up being placed there without even choosing it. Definitely would recommend!

In the last two years also half of the rooms on the first floor were removed to put a beautiful new lounge in and washers and dryers.

Good point. Floors are all single sex.

My daughter is in Kostka this year (not the LLC part, just got assigned there) and is fine with it. Nice new lounge and laundry room, close to the dining hall, library and classrooms. Her floor is mostly standard doubles but there are several forced triples as well.
