Housing now giving housing priority based on FEWER semesters in housing.

I’m with eziamm on the scholarship part of it. I still think this was a wise decision on the University’s part. With less housing and more students they want housing to be as beneficial per capita as possible, and apparently studies show it helps 2nd year students out significantly more than 3rd year students. Plus, if you’re a Junior you should know the city well enough and people well enough to decide where to live next year in the fall. For freshman who barely know AA it is intimidating to feel like you need to find an apartment with people you don’t know very well in a city you don’t know very well. University Housing is a much more comfortable option.

Maybe I’m biased because I’m an upcoming sophomore though. Of course I have absolutely no desire to live in university housing junior year, and I’m surprised anyone does.
