<p>Basically, as the title suggests, are single dorms hard to come by for freshmen? Because the "Living at USC" brochure made it seem as though singles were few. </p>

<p>Very tough to get singles for freshmen, as far as I know. By the way, the later you apply, the fewer your options. My S preferred a roommate & it worked very well for him.</p>
<p>That's what I thought... is it already "too late" for any options, not talking about singles? Here, it seems like people have already begun finalizing their plans!</p>
<p>My S was pretty slow about sending in his housing app last year as an incoming freshman but still got his 1st choice, Pardee. Most kids got 1st or 2nd choice, when possible. I'd suggest you get your app in ASAP, with your deposit & keep your fingers crossed. There are LOTS of good options, especially now that they've opened the new Parkside II, which I'm sure will be gorgeous!</p>
