<p>If I apply to Summer B and fill out the housing application a couple days later, do I select my preferences for both Summer B and Fall at the same time or just Summer B?</p>

<p>Or do I just put in my $25 deposit and I don't get to choose anything? I'm kinda confused as to how housing works if you apply before you are accepted...</p>
<p>Your dorm is not always the same for Summer B and Fall. I would fill out each housing application AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, which will assure you a high-priority selection date to pick your housing. Each student is assigned a room selection date where they go online to the UF housing portal and select a room based on spaces available at that time. As you may have noticed via Facebook, etc – students who applied for housing late are still waiting to select a room, just a few days before move-in. Students with later selection dates end up in temporary triples, and other unfortunate situations. I don’t fully understand your question but I do know that you should fill out anything housing related AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to ensure you receive one of the sooner room selection dates. </p>
