My question is: Is there a separate application for Fall and Spring?

No, when you apply for Fall/Spring housing are done at the same time. Where you pick to live in the Fall is where you live in the Spring. Remember though, that rates are by Semester, so you'll have to pay at the Beg of fall and at the Beg of Spring. But, when you apply for housing, I'm pretty sure the option will say Fall/Spring.

Thanks for the clarification UFGators

no problem. and sorry for the typos. lol.

So did you guys get that housing email today? It says the deadline is March 3rd, but will I get a better priority date if I do it tonight as opposed to anytime till March 3rd? Also, does this mean I got on-campus housing if they sent the email?

They will base it off the housing priority date. If you wait a few days you will receive a CD from housing. It will have floor plans and the dorms that are open to freshman also FAQS section. Plus there is a section for parents on move in day.

Best things were what to bring/not bring and advice about parking.

A bit of advice from our experience, bring x-long twin stuff with you along with mini fridge and microwave. You will be able to find some of these but it might be an off brand, smaller than you wanted or pink/purple when you wanted something for a guys room.

Not sure. But I wouldn't worry about it.

I mailed the check for my son's contract yesterday afternoon. On the contract it says "You will receive email confirmation when the payment is processed."

Does anyone know if they will process these as they get them or will they wait and do them all at the same time?

His due date was 3/10/2008. Oh, and his three choices (with my approval) for Residence Facilities were 1. Lakeside 2. Beaty Towers 3. Fletcher. Fingers crossed for either of the first two...

Oops mine is 3/10 too. haha sorry! If any of you did it, what dorms did you put? I'm looking at Jennings and Broward for summer..

If the due date is March 10, does it have to be received by that date or can it be postmarked March 10 and arrive a day or two later?

From past experience it was postmarked, but I would causing the housing dept just to make sure.

I chatted with Cheryl on the housing portal yesterday and she confirmed that my check had been received. All our ducks are in a row :)
