hey beingydude see u in schapiro

Denzera--my roommate is a girl who transferred from Barnard. Given the fact that Barnard dorms are pretty darn nice, maybe she'll opt to transfer to a Barnard dorm? (can she do that?)

She can't do that unless she's pulled into the barnard housing selection with other barnard students. She has transferred; she's a Columbia student now. She has the same transfer options that you do.

However, you bring up a chance for me to mention a little-known fact: Columbia students can actually transfer in groups, via summer transfer, to housing at Barnard (in Plimpton and 616 W 116th). I'm a big evangelist for Plimpton as a soph/jr housing option. But then again, I had a 166sf single room there for 2 years running, with a pool table in the basement and a supermarket next door.

Just wait till room selection season starts next year, you'll have more information at your fingertips than you can shake a stick at.

hey i was just wondering if anyone could confirm that there are closets in john jay singles? i thought that there were, but on the layout i can't see them....thanks

Yes....there are closets in John Jay as well as small dressers with 3 or 4 drawers.

the closet is directly to the right or left of the entrance to each room in JJ....u will find a little door symbol where the door is.
