Housing Reassignment

Im currently in Creekside and I'll be happy with any other dorm assignment. I put myself on the waitlist so I want to know what will give me the best chances to move out of Creekside. Also does having a roommate improve or lower my chances?

off-campus housing and other private dorms are much better and sometimes even cheaper. It is still not too late to cancel your on-campus housing.

@ycristina: That would mean wasting the $300 deposit and the $50 application fee.

I got a reassignment my Freshman year. Both rooms were in Jester W though, I don’t know if it’s harder for interdorm reassignments. Not sure how that affects things.

I think the most important thing is when you paid your deposit, because I think that’s the order things change in.

All I can suggest is put every dorm except Creekside in your preference list and hope for the best.

My son didn’t list Creekside in his preference list and was placed there anyway. He is going to make do.

I was just wondering, how does reassignment work? I have not gotten my assignment yet, but in the instance that I end up with a room that I do not want, I would try to change it. Is it possible to apply for reassignment but not get in to any of the dorms you listed because they are all full? Sorry that I can’t help, just wondering this myself.
