Housing Review

its better to have privacy. Plus, I have like 10 neighbors 2 ft away from me so it's like having a double with your own privacy. Everyone is really close for a good social life while at the same time you can come home on a late night and listen to music as you go to sleep. In a double, you can't do that.

It's awesome to have a place to live all to myself. Plus, when I was in relationships, I didn't have to worry about kicking people out of my room to have privacy. Neither did I have to worry about getting kicked out for that matter.

Choose wisely,
C

Furnald is indeed a better building (renovated in 1996 i think), but if you want a more social single, then John Jay is the way to go.

Both has it's advantages and disadvantages.
Furnald: cleaner and newer, better kitchen, closer to broadway, AC (first few days in Sept can be rather hot)
John Jay: more social, all freshmen, right above dining hall (rather convenient on those cold rainy days)

Good luck!

Calvin...seriously there are rats and cockoroaches there????

Why would there be rats or cockroaches in a city?

Which ones have the suites (bathrooms attached to singles/doubles)? I'm looking for a single with access to a bathroom (I wouldn't want to share 2 with 45 other people......) and LLC is my first choice as a single...then John Jay.

Not sure why LLC is your top choice and then John Jay if you're looking for suites with bathrooms. Carman has suites of two doubles sharing one bathroom. LLC suites are either 8-9 people with one bathroom or 14-16 people with 2 bathrooms.

John Jay and Furnald both have halls of mostly or all singles sharing large common bathrooms.

lol sarcasm

thanks for the reply...LLC is my top choice because of the layout and community atmosphere, then Carman, even though it'd be a double suite. What did you apply for (cc/seas)?
