Housing Waitlist? Take my Housing Spot

I am trying to withdraw from housing at Frehlingheisen and I need a replacement. Money is too tight so I decided to commute. If you are a continuing undergrad (not a transfer), please reach out to me. If I provide your name & student number (male only), they will release me from my assignment in a double on a river dorm.

Send me a private message so we can talk. You will be able to replace me in my dorm assignment at Frehlingheisen for Fall 2012-2013.

I would also post this on relevant FB pages (eg Rutgers housing assignments office, class of 2014, etc). You may not have much luck since people are not waitlisted for doubles as far as I know. I would talk to housing about the financial aspect. Maybe they will consider it, although it is not one of the valid reasons for cancellation.

is frehlingheisen in busch campus? near werblin recreation? How much is it per year?

It is a river dorm on College Ave campus.

Rutgers Housing is currently accepting wait list applications. If a single male needs housing and wants a College Ave. river dorm, they will replace him for me and release me from contract. But I have to supply the person’s name and RU ID, so we need to contact one another. I believe the cost for the year is just over $7,000, but that can be found on the main website. Remember, must be a current student, not an in-coming transfer.

I would have a problem with that. If they have waitlisted students, then obviously your spot would be made available for someone on the waitlist. Not sure why you have to go to the trouble of getting their personal info. I’d ask to speak to a supervisor about it.

Thank you for your input. But thats what they’re telling me. If anyone is interested, message me. They want the replacement person to email them with their information AND mine together for a direct swap. I don’t know why they won’t just take someone from the wait-list, but they want a specific person to swap.

CKMac12, did you ever find anyone?

No, my problem is solved, housing released me from contract. Thx anyway
