Does anyone know about the housing options for freshmen and which are considered the most desirable? If my daughter is not sure yet about where she will attend as she’s waiting to hear from other schools still, wondering how important it is to apply for housing choice early?
My dd applied for housing although she is still waiting to hear from other schools too. There is a $50 non-refundable deposit and a $350 refundable deposit to apply. I figured it was worth it just in case she decides to go here.
Sorry, somehow I double posted and I don’t know how to delete it
@LilyMoon thanks, I eventually figured that out and we did the same thing. My daughter also asked her friend who is a sophomore there his thoughts on the various housing options and he helped by giving his opinions. But then in applying for housing, we realized one cannot request a certain dorm, you can only prioritize type of room (single, double, small single, etc.) and there are a bewildering number of options. They also cost different amounts depending on which dorm the room type is located in. Yet you cannot specify that your first choice would be this type of room in this dorm, etc. Oh well, at least some choices have been registered.
