I disagree..very much umar. I really do think you're missing out on something in skipping dorm life as an underclassman. There's only one time in your life that you will be in a building full of people your age, and you'll be missing it.

Of course, you are ALWAYS welcome to hang at East Quad.

dude ive done that sorta stuff over the summer...yea its not an ENTIRE YR but i got a good sense of it. I'm just not the dorm type person, i need my quiet times and personal space sometimes and i dont think im really gonna get that in dorms, im always...exposed (shutters) lol. I have a roommate of course and yes i will drop by east quad lol. Once you make friends tho living qtrs wont really matter cause i can always meet em somewhere...but i get ur pt

Yes, Barbour and Cook are girls only dorms. However, I think that Cook is more strict on rules than Barbour is. Guys are allowed into them but just can't spend the night or anything like that. :)

Yeah martha cook is female only and has male visitation hours!! haha. but they're not that bad..noon-midnight (weekdays) and noon-2am (weekends)..but you can stay out as long as you want..there arent curfews or anything. phew.

I signed up June 23, yeah I know I'm a procrastinator, but I always get everything done. I'm sure that will have to change once I get to Ann Arbor. So you can guess that I haven't gotten anything yet.

D was told at Orientation that housing assignments would be received 8-10 weeks after you sent in your info. Roommate assignments come early in August. It's hard to wait!

I just checked my housing status and it says "Contract Issue Date: July 8, 2005." Does this mean that they finally have my living situation figured out? And if so is there any way to check it online or do I have to wait for snail mail?

im in a double at barbour/newberry....what are the rules for the dorm? are they really strict? i heard its better to live in an all female dorm but im not sure ill like it...
