Housing

I am a senior in high school in New York City seriously looking into DePaul. The problem is that, as a non-commuter student unlike so many DePaul students, I really need to live someplace. I know that housing is not guaranteed whatsoever and spaces are limited, but if I attend, it's either a dorm or pretty much nothing. What's the situation with things like this? Also, how steep are rentals in the area?
Thanks in advance.

DePaul has plenty of housing. If you’re unable to dorm (which I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to), the campus is surrounded by apartments. Housing is definitely not an issue. Also, DePaul is known for being a commuter school but from what I’ve experienced, most freshmen live on campus. I was the only commuter in my discover Chicago class (a class of roughly 20).
