when do they tell ua bout rommate

i got hedrick triple too

my twin brother got hedrick triple too... hopefully they dont put us in the same room.. that would suck

I am also one of those people who got Hedrick triple at first but appealed and ended up with Sproul triple, which I was very happy about.

For those of you who requested a residence hall double, I warned you guys that you most likely wouldn't be getting it in Sproul.

ALL YOU IN SUNSET VILLAGE's Delta Terrace, I'm going to be your Program Assistant next year, which means I coordinate activities and socials for you guys! Yay!

That's cool, KFC4u!!! I'm living in a double shared bath in Sunset Village next year. I don't know which building yet, but my friend who lives in Delta Terrace right now told me that since I got the shared bath, it probably means that I'll be in delta terrace because courtside/canyon point are mostly (if not all?) private bath.

Hopefully I'll still be able to make a lot of friends not living in a residence hall. My friend's RA told her they're making a big push next year to make sunset village more social, especially for the freshmen living there. Do you know anything about this?

anyone know what its like living in hedrick?
and if needed how do i appeal

I got a Sunset Village double...yay! That's what I wanted. Screw the supposedly non-social atmosphere...I'll still be social.

HEDRICK DOUBLE AND I COULD NOT BE ANY MORE EXCITED!!

Residence halls were my first choice and even though you can't pick which hall, I really wanted to be in Hedrick since it is all freshman and people tell me that it has the best food.

To the people with triples- don't worry, you can always appeal and it sounds like they are usually granted!! A triple is not that bad anyway. You save a bunch of money and you will have two best friends instead of just one. Besides, how much time are you gonna spend in your room anyway? Throughout the day, you will be all around campus so you will probably only be in your room at night. Plus, your roomates will have different class schedules from you so you will have alone time in the room on plenty of occasions. Just trying to look on the bright side....

i got triple in Rieber. i dont like the triple part but yeah. i havent seen u guys post anything about Rieber. whats ur impression of Rieber? tell me the good, the bad and the ugly heh.

ooo one thing i forgot is that ill be saving around a thousand for being in triple. dunno if that offsets the tripleness. and also i hope my roommates make up for this. what are the chances that both roommates are bad? lol

i got hedrick triple. really upset. i wanted a double. :( i also heard that hedrick is the farthest from campus. boohoo.

yeah comparing all res halls hedrick seems farthest. gogogo appeals =)

how do we appeal?

Yeah, I'm mulling over an appeal. I don't know how much I'll be able to handle rooming with two other girls.

I got a triple in DeNeve. I kind of wanted a res hall because I'm worried about the whole social factor--any input on the scene at DeNeve? It seemed nice enough when we visited, but am I going to be the only one roaming up and down the hall at 3 a.m.? I'm an introvert and I'm worried about making friends; I kind of feel left out of the res hall buzz.

i got sunset village double, shared bath

Hedrick double

So when people say far, just how far is it from the campus?

Also, is Hedrick one of the halls going through renovation this year? Or was it the the one that was renovated last year, and has a new lounge now?

"i got triple in Rieber. i dont like the triple part but yeah. i havent seen u guys post anything about Rieber. whats ur impression of Rieber? tell me the good, the bad and the ugly heh."

Rieber's Awesome! I have thoroughly enjoyed living here this year even with ALL the construction. It'll be better next year b/c you shouldn't have to worry about the construction AND you'll actually have a first floor and lobby. Lol. There is one thing that I should warn you about though...shower stalls on Rieber North are just that...shower stalls. The ones on Rieber South are better b/c there's a shower stall inside another stall and a place to put clothing and such down without it getting wet. However if you end up on North, after the first couple weeks you get used to those "lovely" showers. One other thing about Rieber is the stairs up to the building. They get old quick...but, it's a good work out....

"any input on the scene at DeNeve? It seemed nice enough when we visited, but am I going to be the only one roaming up and down the hall at 3 a.m.?"

I've spent many a nights in De Neve and I wouldn't say that you'd be the only one up. I know the floor that I was on while visiting a friend (who's actually my roomie for next year,) had various people walking around late at night. They were also very social. I mean, they had OC nights and other tv watching parties where everyone would cram into a room to watch the television and did various other things. I mean it's not too bad. I think for De Neve the social aspect just depends on the others that are living on the floor. If you have social floormates, your floor will most likely be social.

"So when people say far, just how far is it from the campus?"

I've never actually had to walk from Hedrick to campus but, it takes me at least 15 mins to get to mid-campus from rieber. And from that I'd say that it'd be maybe 20 mins to the same spot from Hedrick. Anyone who's from Hedrick can correct me if I'm wrong...

"Also, is Hedrick one of the halls going through renovation this year? Or was it the the one that was renovated last year, and has a new lounge now?"

Yes, Hedrick was renovated last year. The first floor and lounge are brand new. And Rieber's will look exactly the same once they finally finish in the next few weeks.

My friend who's a freshmen got into "Hedrick Summit"... This is one of the new ones, right? I'm guessing he must have really lucked out...

Hedrick SUmmit is plazas, right?

hey guys, hedrick double here. just out of curiousity, anyone know what the showers there are like?
