How about dreaming together about Dartmouth?

Woahwoahwoah, are you going to HMUN? I'm Peru on the SC. How 'bout you?

So I'm either really tired or just confused, but what does HMUN stand for?

Harvard Model UN. I was actually talking to the flaming hairdresser, but I guess I haven't gotten the hang of the reply system quite yet.

HMUN? I wish! We're going to CIMUN (Chicago International), but HMUN being this weekend as well would explain why the UC Lab schools aren't going to be there this year - I'm sure they'd much rather be at HMUN. I'd much rather be at HMUN. But it's costly, and we're poor - even CIMUN is a stretch for us!

Anyway, for what it's worth, the term ends this week (wednesday's the last day of finals), so hopefully they'll try to get decisions out before everyone leaves for break. At least, I'd hope so! I think we're the only ivy left that doesn't know...

I called up admissions, and the guy said decisions will be mailed on the 7th and posted online on the 8th, so everyone knows.

Greetings from Hanover!

This is just a brief note to inform you that we will be mailing our admissions decision letters via regular mail on Thursday, December 7. Also, an electronic version of your decision letter will be posted online to the Dartmouth Student Information System after 3 pm Eastern Standard Time on Friday, December 8 The online decision letter will be available until December 15.

This is the e-mail I received. 4 days left.... Good luck to all of you!

if they're mailing decisions on the 7th, then why can't they post them on the 7th?!?!?!?! i'm gonna have a heartattack! i wanna know!

oh my gosh,i'm freaking out right now. i've waited so long, but now i dont think i want to know. oh good luck everyone,i hope all of us cc-ers make it atleast b/c i think we've formed somewhat of a bond.

I really want to know. I'm getting nervous.

i think i'd rather not know than know that i've been rejected or deferred. on friday i'll probably sit at my computer for like an hour trying to convince myself to log on. what's nice is that i get home exactly at 2, so i don't have to wait.

When the time is 3PM on the East Coast, in Romania it is 10 PM. I have a feeling that I won't be getting too much sleep that night (either in the good or bad sense).

oh you're from romania, pat?thats pretty cool, so have you ever visited the campus then?

No, I haven't. International students usually don't have this opportunity. But I have two friends at Dartmouth who are also from Romania and who have described me in detail how Dartmouth is like. I know this is not as effective as visiting the campus myself, but that is the situation. However, this hasn't stopped me from loving Dartmouth!

When its 3PM EST its 1:00 AM in India .... So i don't think I wud be getting any sleep either...

We're going to have a rough couple of days starting with December 8.

haha, it would be 3AM in my country so I'll just sleep and get my result in the morning lol:)

I've already devised my plan: on Friday, Saturday and Sunday I am allowed to feel depressed, stupid, incompetent, etc, etc. But on Monday I have to pick myself up and start working on the other applications. That if I don't get in.

wow it looks like there are a lot of international applicants on this board. yeah, pat, thats pretty much my plan too. are you applying to any schools in romania or just international schools?

The application process for Romanian universities begins in mid July, after the end of the school year, so I'm not concerned with that at the moment. I hope I'll be admitted in a school in US (I know there are many great schools there).
