Now I know there can't be ONE definitive ranking for bschools, but Notre Dame no. 1? I would have expected Wharton, Sloan, Stern, and Ross in the top, IMO.

I say USNews is way better. BW is a joke. BYU over Stern? Bentley (I didn’t even know that school existed) over USC?

Bentley has a MUCH better business program than USC.

you sure about that?

yea thats kind of like its staple program

Theres a school called Bentley? Better than USC? riiiight…

There’s an entire thread on WSO about this.

These rankings are kind of ridiculous.

Actually I think BW is a much better gauge.

BYU has an amazing alumni network. It’s a very prestigious school, it unfortunately gets slammed because of its religious ties and Provo location in the “vast culture-less wasteland between NYC and Silicon Valley.”

Bentley and Babson essentially are only business schools–I don’t even know if they offer other majors. So again, their alumni net work will be great.

Business comes down to a lot of connections and networking and I think that is accurately reflected in the BW rankings (even for #1–Notre Dame…possibly the best network in the country).

ND at 1 is a joke. It’s great that they have one of the best networks, it’s just that a lot of schools have more people to network with in high finance (IB, S&T, Consulting). I’m sure there are some kids picking schools like ND over Wharton because of those rankings. And BYU should not be that high. Once again, it’s great that they have an “amazing alumni network.” So does my school, Texas A&M. But they don’t have a whole lot of grads in high finance, so if you want to get there, it’s best to go somewhere else if you can afford it.

^ that just means the ranking system in general is bad and that the best school depends on the needs and ambitions of the individual. Individual fit? What a novel idea!
