How am I looking here?

Hello,

I am a tenth grade male looking to apply for boarding school. I plan to enroll for 11th an 12th grade.

My stats -
PSAT - 60% percentile ( of college based juniors, I am a soph, still not great though)

9th - Football, Track, Band (Percussion ) , Job and Lacrosse. Overall 3.5 gpa with honors history and english, 24 hrs community service

10- Job, Sophomore Rep for Key Club, Member of Student Council, Chorus, Honors History, English, and Spanish, 24hrs of service (if not more, At least 3.5 gpa (unweighted)

I tend to have solid interviews and strong letters of reccomendation. I am also a strong writer, so essays should be great.

I am applying to Salisbury School, St. Andrews (DE), Tabor (maybe) and Choate (maybe).

Do I have a decent shot?

I wonder how many spots each one of those schools has for new Junior boys? I would try to get an accurate picture of those numbers before deciding how many schools to apply to.

Okay thanks. Seeing that I am applying for junior year, I take it that there are less spots which translates into lower chance. Basically, apply to more schools hah?

How good are you at sports?

If the school websites don't reveal this information, the admissions offices will probably give you some idea of the number of spots that are opening up. I think there are few spots for Juniors generally, but each year it will probably fluctuate depending on attrition.

I would still apply though. I am not trying to be discouraging.

Grejuni, you do not come off as discouraging at all.

MDog795 - I am an above average athlete, however I am not considered an alpha male or anything lol.

I play lacrosse (main sport), took a break from football this year (however I am open to getting back into it), through shotput and disc in track, and am considering playing tennis for school.

First of all, you should call those schools and ask if they do have spots, if you haven't already.

If you have, how many spots and applicants for each of the schools?
