They haven't started yet in my school. :( I wish that we had the opportunity to not take finals by having A averages.

i only have to take one! and that's because it's a required final! (where you can't get exempt even if you have an A.)

this basically means an extra 3 days of summer!! WooHoo!!

Finals start next Tuesday, I believe.

Tuesday: English
Wednesday: Geography and health
Thursday: French and algebra

My school doesn't do the exemption thing.

Our finals start in two weeks. I'm sure I have Physics and Spanish finals. Then there's a project for English. There may be one for Java/AP CS A, but I doubt it.

GRAND! Finals are 1/7 of the semester grade.
Of course, with exemptions, I have no finals.
You can exempt 4 per semester, out of the usual 8, but none more than once.

I have 4 APs (automatically don't have to take a final second semester) and I used my exemptions on my regular courses... whose finals I took first semester.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

1/7? wow most places require 25% of your final grade.

My school requires an A and 98% attendance. I missed 5 days, so I was not exempt.

I'm done with high school and finished all of my final exams. I think I got A's in all of them except for physics (I got an 88. I was slightly devastated because it was so easy.)

I didn't have exams for three of my six classes, so I was really happy about that though. :)

AP English- 30 page term paper due Wednesday.
[/quote]

Whoa. That's CRAZY. I've never completed more than a 10 page paper for ANY class in high school. How long did you have to work on it?

Seniors start finals tomorrow, and we have them during regular class periods versus having hour and a half long blocks of them, like all others do next week.

So, I don't know quite yet how they're going, but I only really have two, since all my AP's either don't have them, or have ridiculously easy ones. =] Here's hoping the two real one's are easy!

Done with them (took them before the AP exams). Just one final left which I still have relatively a lot of time to study for. I still have a sh**load of projects to do though.

atrophicwhisper, TECHNICALLY we've had about 2 months. But, with AP testing and all that... let's just say that I'm only about 3 pages in.

i ono how much my finals factor in, but for me and maybe some other people
finals = last chance to salvage my declining grades.

Start June 10 with Bio...

June 10: Bio H (going to be kinda hard... and he's giving us a test the day before, so I'm nervous)
June 11: English I H and World Civ II H (English should be pretty easy, World Civ will be harder. Writing day)
June 12: Latin II H (easy, probably a 99 I believe. Don't have to come in for Speech since we're doing a final presentation)
June 13: Alg II H (class is easy but I'm going to study just to brush up. Somewhere in the A range probably. Have Lunch so don't have to come in)
June 16: Applied Culinary Arts I A (joke, seriously. Have Health so leave early)

Mine don't start for 2 weeks, except AP Physics, which was the day after the AP test. (I got a 112 - yay for 20-point curves!) I'm exempt from precalc for having over a 90 average, but it would probably be a good idea for me to start studying for the rest of them. Oh well, I can always wait until midnight on the night before the test.

Finals count 20%. Only exemption - AP courses (final).

Weds. H Algebra II (grade on final 73 :( - thought I did better)
Thurs. French and Morality
Fri. Physics (studying)

Didn't have to take exams in US History or Eng. (APs)

our finals count for only 1/9 of our grade...only senior are exempt from finals if they have an A. Two weeks away.. ahh freaking out! Although in order to get an A for all of my classes I have to get atleast a 70% so it shouldn't be too much pressure I hope.

im exempt from all of my core classes
only have to take exams for my electives
(french, tech, & cooking) =)

they count 20% of our grade as well :D
and if you get exempt, you automatically get a 100 on the exam :D

I'm exempt from everything (since they're all AP courses and I took the AP exams) except AP Stats, and that's only because I missed four classes and we're only allowed to miss three in order to be exempt.

gah now I have to review for tomorrow's exam.

So far, I've been lucky. But that's because, with the exception of Statistics I (oh, how I HATED it), the exams I've had so far have been unstudiable, i.e. chemistry practical, bio written practical and art practical. Don't think my luck will extend to my math, chem and bio units next week... Each unit counts for 1/6 of the whole A level. :(

I can exempt finals at my school =]

Haven't taken a final since 1st semester of Junior year :D

I wish I was at your school!

Oh... and my principal declared during midterms that he doesn't believe in midterm exemption. :0
