apply EA, youll have a better shot cause youll get a second chance if you dont get in EA…but get your GPA up

there average is a 3.7

Yes, the average GPA is usually around 3.6 or better. I am a high school teacher in Va and I have had students graduate with highest honors, an advanced diploma and scored over 1300 on their SAT’s (math and reading) and not get in. The reason why? They had no extra curricular activities, no volunteer work, never worked a job or done community service. They had everything else going for them except that. JMU is very big on those things. At least you have a lot of that going for you. All you can do is apply…and I would definitely give it a shot.
