Thanks for your input and advice.
Be brutally honest please.

Your EC's are largely genaric. However, I got in with genaric EC's so don't worry to much.
Yout have an impressive GPA.
Without SAT scores it is impossible to judge.

I agree with mangogo the NYLF is worthless, if you already know that you want to go into medicine. The program is not going to be what gets you into JHU. What will help are unique extra curr., leadership, and some research. A little bit of research will help alot, given that JHU is the best research school out there. Good luck, maybe I'll see you thre soon.

As you can see, I am definitely math-oriented. I am going the NYLF-Med to make sure that I would want to go into BME (Pre-Med). Any more comments on my chances are greatly appreciated.

"If your SATs match your GPA you ar a shoe-in for a top school."

I disagree with that statement.

While your stats do seem nice, I wouldn't say you are a shoe in. Nowadays, its hard to predict acceptance into a top school. For Johns Hopkins, I would say that on top of having good "stats" you need to show them that they are not just another school you put on your common application (or well even if it is the case...you should do something on your app to show them that you are really interested in attending). This advice is something you should definately consider if you are applying to BME...because that just makes getting in even tougher.

Also...if you are choosing to do BME for pre-med and you just heard that its such a great major and all that jazz...think twice. You can do pre-med with any major and unless you really want to go into a BME research field in the future, you should reconsider applying for BME. If you are like me and have no interest in BME but your goal is to go to a good med school through HOPKINS....take another science major (I'm doin Neuroscience).

Anyway, hope that helps. You still got a year to figure it out and you still have to take the SATs....so sit back and evaluate your options.

Also, another word of advice. Whereever you end up...try doing a major other than a science major (unless you love science and you do best in it)

Statistics show that those who do pre-med with English, Theater, Business....majors ...are more appealing sometimes than just science majors doing pre-med. I mean sure, doing a science major makes it easier to do pre-med, but if you are smart...and you have an interest in the humanities or history, why not pursue. You'll never know what you are missing out on.
