the adcoms are gonna suspect massive grade inflation at your sch cause a 'good' transcripts must be complementary with good SAt scores. if you say you score really well on physics in sch, you still can't end up with a 500+ on the SAT. that's just going to tell the admission officer tht the standard at your sch is low.

I am from india too I got 100 in my math 10th board exams(cbse) and 92 in science and my sat 2 total is 2300 my sat 1 is quite bad though 1750.I have applied to some of the universities you have.

i think the sats account for very little if you have a sparkling resume and personality behind those statistics.

to be honest your grades/SATs are somewhat prerequisites for them to even consider your application....the reason why a sparkling resume and a good personality stands out is due to tons of inflated grades and near perfect scores

aks90, i dont tink u have a chance at any of the prestigious colleges, and esp not the ones you've mentioned....but hey you've got good ECs and very good HS grades, and since as a international u're probably going for the prestige, i would suggest you to try other countries (UK,Australia, Singapore, or other european countries rather than some sub-par US college) which normally dont require SAT scores

if i just look at your ECs and your HS grades (seems to me to be straight As), I would tink you're an outstanding individual deserving of places in some of the best unis around....the SAT is too much of an anomaly =)

you're certainly not getting into Duke or Stanford because those schools are not need blind toward internationals and there's no way they're going to give aid to kids with stats like yours....harvard and princeton are need blind, but unless your essays dont show a compelling reason why they must have you in their freshman class, then you're not getting in
