How are pass/no pass grades calculated in GPA for economics graduate school admissions?

Hi, so I am an economics major who graduated from UCSB. During my time there, I took one course on a pass no pass basis that was worth four units in addition to a one unit course that is only graded on a pass/ no pass basis. I was wondering how these five units would be calculated in the admissions process for economics graduate programs.

In the grand scheme of things, two P/NP courses don’t really matter much.

@mads94 UCSB’s website states that Pass/No Pass grades are not included in the GPA.

But the graduate schools don’t have some kind of numerical value that they assign to P/NP grades though?
