I want to be a neurologist and am curious about how the pre-med programs/preparation stuff at these colleges are

University of Texas-at Austin
University of North Carolina-at Chapel Hill
University of Virginia
University of Florida
University of Pennsylvania
Emory University
Texas A&M University
Pennsylvania State-University Park
Elon University
Wake Forest University
Villanova University
Lehigh University
Boston College
Boston University

I also want to know which colleges will purposely "weed out" pre-med students

Any college you go to is fine, as long is it is not a community college.

Don’t worry about being “weeded” out, because as long as you work hard in your classes and stay dedicated to becoming a doctor, you will be fine.

It may not be easy to tell what colleges in this list are definitely better than others (because most of them are good enough if you are good at fully utilizing their resources.) However, it is relatively easy to tell which colleges may cost you much more – unless you are a recruited student at some of these colleges (or the honor program part of a college) which are willing to shell out money to attract some “star” students.

I should add that many parents are willing to send their kid to the “best possible” college they can afford, if they are convinced a particular school is better than others.

Of the ones I know well, University of North Carolina-at Chapel Hill, Elon University, and Wake Forest University, all are excellent… UNC, DUKE, and WAKE are all associated with large teaching hospitals. Elon is in the final stages of adding a PA masters program, and is one of a very few schools with an undergraduate cadaver lab.
