How Are Wharton Fraternities? (Thanks to All Those Who Reply)

youre a freshman aren't you

At Penn, people are joining these business frats because they get sucked in during the first semester, when real greek organizations aren't allowed to recruit.

Why are some many people in business frats also in social frats? It's because the biz frats fail at providing fun opportunities and real relationships. Remember when you were a little kid and played house? These biz frats are like little kids playing work. They're a bunch of tools, it's a ridiculous amount of stupid hazing (writing emails and then getting hazed when you get them wrong? c'mon). This is the kind of **** people deal with at work. You don't have fun by practicing for it.

Also, you registered to post in this forum, and it's pledging season. You're officially a troll who's going to get hazed if you don't post enough here defending your toolbox honor.

My MGMT 100 TA put it best - the biz frats are everything that's bad about Wharton. The obsession with jobs, the competitiveness, the toolishness - and the way they suck in all the asian Wharton-wannabes is disgusting.

i just magna cum loudlyed from matt's post

"Remember when you were a little kid and played house? These biz frats are like little kids playing work."

Probably the most accurate description I've ever read when it comes to business frats. That pretty much summarizes the whole idea.
