how are you going to stay in touch with your HS friends?

Good on you for not pinning all your phone charges on your parents like me. I’m not sure what to tell you that wasn't said already. If you think you’ll be calling long distance a lot maybe you should try Onesuite, which is the plan my sister had when she studied abroad two years ago. She didn’t have a cell phone then. And sign up for one of the networking sites if you haven’t yet. My HS would never hear about each other without MySpace.

I'm going to stick to the good of system of writing letters and mailing them. I may use email sometimes too.

Knowing the future, there will probably very cheap e-messaging, which means that quick and comprehensive text messaging from hand held personal units with the capacity of a 2000 desktop will be available, as in Japan, so snail mail will probably lose even more business in the letters department.

Ranked best friends to casual acquaintences:

Cell phone
E-mail
AIM
Facebook

I deleted my MySpace about ten minutes ago... I'm proud of myself! Freeing oneself of the syren call of MySpace is the first step toward self-actualization.

Facebook probably. It's not my good friends I worry about- it's people who I like and I consider friends, but we're not like that close.

it's good if your friends all of the same cell carrier so you can be "in" and talk to all of them for free

were gonna have reunions here and there. aim, cell, myspace, any which way possible

jmarsh2006 is now officially out of high school for taking said action.
A reunion would be quite expensive to host, chickenboi8008, would it not?

if you use something like googletalk and have a mic.. you can hear their voice. i guess i'll be using AIM.. facebook. email. phone. letters if i feel like it.

or i could just not keep in contact. jk. i'll try.

Yeah, I use Google Talk with one of my best friends so I can talk into the mic and hear her voice. It's pretty cool.

I'm with kman1456

I don't have any Good Friends. Luckily I'm hoping I'll be able to find people with my same intrests at PSU which shouldn't be that hard.

From my experience, I'm really bad at keeping in touch with people, since I hate talking online (except for email) and I'm too lazy to call or write letters. So, I'll probably tell all my friends I'll keep in touch and then I never will, except for maybe a few people every now and then. Sad part of my personality, but it's the truth. :</p>

same here...theres so many people I've lost contact with that I used to be good friends with. My best friend started college this year and I hardly ever talk to her anymore :(
