How are you saving money in college?

Hey guys,

I'm wondering what's the best way to save moeny in college. Are there any helpful phone apps or websites that can help save money on food or phone bills or books?

Please, please let me know!

There are websites that can help you track your spending that I’ve heard are pretty helpful.

As for books, buy used whenever possible. Occasionally thrift stores will have textbooks, so it’s worth checking in there occasionally.

Jenny,

There are a lot of free phone apps out there that can save a bunch of money on cell phone bills. My friends and I use maaii!

Basically it’s free calling and texting between anyone who has the phone app. Plus you get 100 free minutes every week to place calls to anyone who doesn’t have maaii. It’s super convenient… you can download it here: [maaii - A multi-platform app for free calling and messaging](http://www.maaii.com/en/download)

Food coupons, sales, discounts, withdrawing from the temptation to buy things you don’t need, etc. I’ve never used phone apps so I don’t know about them.

by not having any money to save in the first place

Very creative advertizing JennyJohnson and the same to you casedaws. You just have to love these first time posters who post links to money related topics geared towards college students.
