How bad are my scores for UCLA, Cal?

I just got my subject test scores back, and I’m kind of dismayed :frowning:

680 Math II
680 Literature
700 US History

For the record, my top choices are UCLA by a long shot, then Cal. I have a 4.4 W/3.9 UW and a 2210 (one sitting). I also have decent, though traditional, extracurriculars. If I’m planning on majoring in the humanities, will these sad scores greatly affect my chances (for better or for worse)? Sorry for any weird grammar or typos- it’s 3:22 AM!

I’m pretty sad too man. I was always under the impression above 700 is needed but most the people on here are crazy and expect 800 and nothing less. I think you should be fine but i’m just as curious as to what an “acceptable” score is.

@xxjmodxx haha, very true! I really would like to know “acceptable” scores too. Thank you for your reassurance :slight_smile: I’m assuming we scored similarly, so don’t beat yourself up over your scores! Of course, the percentile charts make me want to cry, but I hope that I’ll be over this minor setback in the morning.

I got 740 bio and 720 m so we scored pretty similarly. Just keep in mind it is more accurate to multiply your score percebtile by .3 because the top 30 percent of students take subject tests. Hope that helps!
