i wasnt quite sure where to put my thread, i hope i applies here :)

i took 16 units this semester at saddleback college.
and ended up with the following grades

calc3b(calc 2) D
phys4a(classical mechanics) C
env1(some class i was taking for igetc) A
cs1b(intro to comp sci) D

now prior to the final i had mid to high b's in my engineering classes. im quite surprised that i sucked that much on the finals.

im sure some of you will say take a lighter courseload. while thats a possibiltiy, the nature of the courses for engineering require you to take multiple sciences. if i cant cut it now...well i cant do it. i assuming it only gets harder.

my question is, am i not cut out for engineering? i mean really...the Ds are basically Fs...

Well, did you apply yourself? I'm transferring to UCB in engineering and my first semester at CC went like this:

Calc 1 (summer) C
Physics 1 (mechanics) F
Calc 2 C
Fortran F
History (Asian American) F

Cumulative GPA: 0.95 :D

Explanation: I went to Mammoth Mt. mid semester for a weekend getaway, and ended up staying for a month. I just didn't give a s*** (regretfully) . But I returned with vigor and a nice sunburn.

oh yeah, not that much difficulty in her class at all for most of the semester. at the time of the mid term i had an 88.6...
i was also pretty confident with the final aswell but surprise surprise :(
ive emailed all my sci profs about seeing my score on their finals.

I have the utmost respect for those in engineering, computers, technology, general sciences, etc. because I know, by experience, that those courses are tough. The way I see it: an A+ is A++, an A is an A+, a B is an A, and so on.
