how bad is it to not have heard back from a school yet?

i applied to all of the UC's except for Mercedes. i am planning on transferring from the university of michigan in ann arbor. i still haven't heard back from anyone yet.

regardless of gpa or major, is it bad to not have heard back from schools yet?

how do they weed out applications? is the first batch all the "automatic" accepted students as well as "automatic" denied students?

what does it mean to not have heard back from schools yet? does it mean i'm sort of in the middle of the pack and they are looking more closely at the remaining middle tier students?

thanks for any help you guys can give me.

I’m not entirely sure. I think they just haven’t finished reviewing applications. I think for the majority of UC’s, the admit TAG and students with high GPA’s first, as well as some rejects. Don’t feel bad, I have yet to hear from any of the UC’s yet too. It’s pretty disheartening though, I gotta say! :(

Are you a hard science major? I don’t think too many have heard back at all.

I’m not a hard science major, I’m an English major. I agree kingdom it’s a little tough to see people getting word back from schools while you haven’t. Oh well, only thing we can do is wait.
